What’s the beat way to fix these post backers on the console woodgrain panels? Can I solder them or do they need to be welded?

JB Weld maybe. I’d be careful with heat
 
I think the material is die cast. Kind of like hotwheels. Id say soldier would work better I think welds would melt it.
 
Are you going to put new wood grain sticker on it. If so then would drill the plate and put new metal peg's on it. Then could use a tig welder.
 
I think epoxy might work also. I am thinking of getting the absolutely flat headed bolts, extremely thin head. Then epoxy that to the top.

Yes I’m going to order the vinyl overlay. I don’t want to buy the whole panel.
 
Just to add Eazy weld sell some good rod's for cast and pop metal. Just used some on the bell housing. You might try them they have a rod for every thing.
