Could someone please tell me how the 90 degree antenna base is installed. I believe I have all the parts needed except the pointed clips that attach to the Fender Support. Are the clips necessary for installation? If the clips are needed, how does one go about mounting the support to the fender? How does everything go together to make a good solid installation? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The clips were designed to dig into the metal to provide a good ground. I think you could weld a couple nuts on the bottom side and then screw a pair of pointed/sharpened screws thru the nuts, slightly protruding to mimic the clip function. I would Loctite the threads.

Other than Jim's Auto, is there another place where one can purchase these clips? He wants $50/pair which seems much too high.
