Does anyone have any advice on how to get my ole bird to hook its 69rr 11to1.40 over 440 with727 and 3.91sure grip

With mini tubs and the right wheel you can get a 13 inch wide tire under it. What is the car used for?

Sounds close to the same set up in my old bird. I used a soft N50 back in the day. It would spin but also was also movin out. Make sure your suspension is soft to help transfer the weight. I never got beat out of the hole on the street... you forgot to mention if it was a stick or auto.

Take a good look at your car and think of your rear axle as your pivot point and what can you do to keep it planted ... tires are obviously a great start, think about your goal — hook and run or just a little better than now. Look at front suspension then think about how your going to put the weight on the rear suspension...relocate battery , softer shocks up front and adjustable in the rear, softer springs and a pinion snubber to limit axle wind up... keep in mind drag cars are on the strip so you need to make sure a pot hole won’t send you into orbit.. good luck it’s a lot of trial and error.

Track or street? What rear suspension does it have now? You can hook well over 800hp on a Drag radial or 10.5 slick. No need for 14x32.

If the *** is up in the air drop it back down, weight transfer!

Actually if the suspension is not bound up with correct front pivot location high center of gravity will aid weight transfer.

My "14x32" response was a joke, since the OP told us very little about his car.

There is no "." after ''sure grip'', maybe he's not done typing yet and will give us more information. Maybe he is getting a picture to post up of his car.
