Interesting read.

Cold Case is a forum sponsor, and in the vendor section.
My 70 Roadrunner and my wife's 65 GTO are having Vintage Air AC systems installed right now, and I bought a Cold Case radiator for each car. Both cars see heavy stop and go traffic at Cruisin the Coast, both see highway use, and both go to the race track, have significant engine mods, and I'm building a near 700 HP/TQ stroker for the Roadrunner.
I also got the Cold Case dual electric fan and shroud setup for the GTO, and should I need or want one for the Roadrunner, Cold Case has my business!
Be sure to get the FBBO discount!
:monkeyleft:HEAT:bananadance: go Cold Case

Their radiators look nice. Alaska Mike (mocajava) has one in his '69 Coronet. No cooling issues that I know of, but no A/C on the car yet?

So just to say the fluid dose need to stay in the radiator long enough to cool the fluid. When younger we pulled the thermostat out and the car ran really hot. Talked to an older car guy and said put the thermostat back in the car. It solved the problem. If it is flowing too fast from the motor to the radiator then it has no chance to do it's job. Just my two cent's. I would check the radiator cap pressure ratting. This also can make a motor run hot on the high way. Cool standing still but when driving it will not function properly. Found that on one of my truck motor's was sold the wrong radiator cap at the auto part's store.

I am going to put BOTH of the Cold Case radiators to the test, as both cars have had AC added, both cars have some mods to the engine, although the Pontiac has been rebuilt and modded quite a bit, it's going to be way behind the 541 BME aluminum stroker when that bad boy is done.
So far, our greatest usage of the cars is a week long event, Cruisin the Coast, and while the weather is nice, and not as brutally hot nor humid as other times of the year, a forum member who came down south :confederateflag: for what I consider that MUST ATTEND event had some HEAVY traffic related overheating problems as did a number of other people, and I can assure you all that when it's "sweating my balls off" HOT and HUMID, I expect to be cool and dry in my Roadrunner, even if I'm in bad stop/get a little burnout/go traffic! Same thing goes for the 1320. When I cross the stripe, even with the stroker, that water temperature better NOT get out of control or I'm going to be pissed!
Naturally I can't run the AC down the track.:D They tend to frown on condenser condensation dripping on the starting line.
:p

Yes don't be dripping water on the track. Hot down south is this time of year. Praying for a cold spell in October.

That's one of countless wonderful reasons why Cruisin the Coast is such an amazing, wonderful, life enriching, rejuvenating, blessing from the Throne of Heaven events! October in South Louisiana and Mississippi is usually THE best weather day to day of the entire year, as long as we get a strong cold front or two and dry air around it.
Just writing about this makes me happy and excited for this year's CtC event to arrive!
