 My favorite 8 3/4" choice myself. Good luck with your search. I hope you find more than one. I might be in the market for the same thing...

Thanks Leo. They seem to all come up for sale on the east, rarely see them out west here.

I've got an 8 3/4 that came out of my 69 Roadrunner that I had professionally rebuilt with the intent to run it with my resto. I went a different direction- DANA 60 when I found out my engine builder went insane and found 700 hp with a naturally asperated big block. The rear end wasn't original to the car but is alleged to be date coded for a 69. The rear-end and paperwork for the rebuild are in my Buddy's shop in San Jose. I think its got 3.23's but not sure on the sure grip- I've got $900+ in the cost of the rebuild. I'd like that back and maybe a little "something-something" to offset the cost of the dana. Pm me if your interested and we can discuss it. I've been meaning to get the stamp codes and paperwork- hopefully sometime this week. Just talked to my buddy- I'll get the date codes and rebuild receipt this week. I also have a complete rebuilt front-end w/ K-member, mopar 4 wheel disc brakes, complete A833 with hurst linkage, bell housing, clutch, flywheel, throw-out bearing.. Everything a growing boy needs...

Let me know what info you find on the gears. I should have clarified looking for a 3rd member, don’t really need extra housing but depends on what the gears are etc.. I have a b body Dana from another build but i don’t really need it for this charger because it’s a stock 383.

Im not sure, how can you tell the difference? Can you tell from the casting marks? I'm 90% sure that the gears are 3.23s...I'll verify it in the next few days when i see the paperwork and trans...

Is the carrier the Borg Warner cone type? Or is the Dana type with clutch packs?
