Hey!
Can anyone please advise me if I can fit a 29” tall tire on the front of my 69 Road Runner?
I have them, new Coker, and don’t wanna mount them it they’re too tall.
I need a tall bias ply tire to run with my slicks, and my choices are limited...
Thanks!!!

If they're skinnies on 4" wheels they should be fine.

Why do your slicks care what size the front tires are ?!?!?!?

Unfortunately I inherited 8” wheels for these, so I’m limited to taller, a little wider tired; 6” tread. There’s not many choices for bias, but these look a little taller than I had originally thought.

Its gonna look like a farm tractor with that wheel/tire combo !!

I just measured from the center of the hub to the front edge of the wheelwell opening on my 69 runner, and my 62 savoy. Both came out a hair over 15" . So, theoretically, it could work. It would depend a LOT, on the width of tire, and most of all, the offset of the wheel you want to use. With most of the tire to the inside, i.e. a large backispace number, I think it will work. Any b.s. less than about 4.25, I would say no way.
The pic is of my Savoy with a 235/75x15 on a 7" rim, 4" b.s. 29 inches tall.
