I’m looking to turn a piece of walnut to make a shift knob for my 68 Super Bee. I know the thread size for the insert, but can someone tell me the dimensions of the ball? I’m wanting to make it appear original. Thanks

I made one a few years ago using walnut. I turned it to the dimensions of an aftermarket white knob, so I'm not sure it's accurate. I'll be watching this thread to see if someone can provide the specs for an original knob.

I’m thinking they’re going to be the same but I’m not 100% sure.

original 67 white ball is 1.875 inch , if that helps any.

I have a couple of NOS '69 wood grain knobs I can measure as soon as I get out to the shop.

1.885" for an NOS '69 wood grain knob. If it was worn smooth after 50 years it should measure about 1.875". 3/8" U.N.F. thread. Also, this is for a factory Hurst shifter, not an Inland.
