Final video of Cordoba resto

My dad's 1975 Monte Carlo had the polycast wheels as well. They were a different pattern.

Late 1970s Thunderbirds had full plastic wheels (I don't know if plastic is the correct material name, it was non-metal, anyway).

Great job! Especially the Urethane wheel restoration...wow!
I read it too quickly lol...thought you were referring to steering wheel resto. I was hoping he showed how to remove the steering wheel.

This goes live at 6pm central on Aug 8th.

I know some here have been following this so I figured I'd post the video link here.
I've been watching some of his videos. I liked the fact he stripped it and cleaned up and painted the undercarriage and allot of other tough tasks. Some he didn't go far enough like the carpet and vinyl roof. They both needed replacing. Maybe the owner ran out of money because this resto couldn't have been cheap to do.

Yo Micah - are you retro auto?

Nice job on this one, see the line waiting. Did ya ever write the 75-79 B body book ya started in 2001?

Note to self: download the series because never gonna see another one. Did the same thing with a you tube serious on how to rebuild a 727 and it was worth keeping.

I like the 3 generation story and don't have that. I do have a 75 owned since 83, looks every inch of its miles, and every part it needs to be restored. I mean, if ya wanna make another video I sell ya the package.

I have yet to find good fitting carpet for these. And ACC colors and textures are way off. Unfortunately they are the only ones that claim to make carpet for these. These idiots insist that their two piece carpet "is just like original". And I had them tell me straight to my face that "we know it's wrong and we don't care". Slim chance I'm buying from them if I have a choice. The crown coupe vinyl top has to be replaced as a unit, or perhaps with a few weeks of work from a specialty shop that can reshape the pad between the fiberglass and the vinyl correctly then find the right grain pattern fit and sew it back together.

That's me. That's a blast from the past. I would still like to but I have a hard enough time finding the time to work on my own stuff and remodel the house!

Ok I see that you were going with 'as original' as possible'. I replaced my 77 Cordoba's carpet long ago when ACC sold the one pc carpets and I had my vinyl roof replaced long ago as well. Both are not the original looking finishings but were very complimentary.

Do you know how to remove the steering wheel? This is mine and its cracked.

Pry off the center emblem piece and then use a steering wheel puller. Easy.

Not the emblem itself, the entire center horn pad. I want to say it just pops off the same way as the older Tuff wheel horn buttons.
