Hey. I am looking for some frame connectors, for my 64 polara 2 door hardtop. I see there are long wheel base and short wheelbase. I am assuming the long wheelbase is for 4 doors? I need the short wheelbase correct? Also anyone have any recommendations? Best ones out there? Weld on or bolt on?

US CAR TOOLS has a weld in set of frame connectors that weld to the bottom of the car and look clean when welded in . I prefer weld in connectors . They have both long and short wheelbase sets but your best bet would be their complete chassis stiffening kit ,

I agree. I would probably do a stiffening kit. I'm just not sure on which wheelbase to get for a hardtop. I am under the assumption that the 63-64 dodge had a longer wheelbase than the Plymouth b bodies. So I don't know if long wheelbase means it's for a dodge 2 door or 4 door, or just meaning it is for the dodges longer wheelbase rather than a Plymouth b body. I will have to do some calling around, but I agree I was thinking a weld in kit would be better, but just checking around to see what everyone else uses
 
I just had almost all of the USCT frame strengthening parts installed, WELDED into my Roadrunner. The remaining parts, which are inner fender braces and radiator cradle support, are going in when I do the final prep for my 541 stroker motor.
Subframe connectors and front and rear torque boxes:

You can certainly buy them for $$$ but the easy and inexpensive way is to fabricate your own. It's simple and if you can weld, extremely easy. Did mine for $20.

63 and 64 Dodge are longer (119") than the rest of the 62-65 B Bodys. 62 and 65 Dodge, all 62-65 Plymouth (116"). 2 door and 4 door are all the same. S/S cars are shorter but the difference is in the leaf spring, not the floor pan.

Another vote for US car tool. they fit even better then I had hoped. You may have to push up on it and also have something/ someone push down in spots but it's pretty darn close ( their all just a little different in the way the floor pans were welded from car to car). I did the whole stiffening kit, money well sent. You could make your own and do a pocket cut that would allow you to weld from the top side which is easier but then your preformed carpet wouldn't fit.

All 65 non Super Stock Coronets were 117". The A990 cars were 116".
 
You could make your own and do a pocket cut that would allow you to weld from the top side which is easier but then your preformed carpet wouldn't fit.

Or if you have a plasma cutter you can just get some 2x4 stock and make a cardboard pattern of the floor - transfer it to the stock and plasma out - basically the same thing USCT sells for WAY less $$$ -
