so my gauges in my 1970 Bee are tired so what are my options? Dakota gauges are way to much. Anyone know if a company has a set we can install on our rally dash? Is there a company that restores them and not take 12 years to return them? cost? Thanks for any help Dave

I had mine restored to brand new looking and operating condition by Instrument Specialties. The cost was around $900. They didnt take all that long either.

Why are they tired and what are you doing for a few days?? If they currently work, no need to send them out to make them pretty!

oil gauge pegs and fuel gauge gos everywere would like to get the clock fixed. Temp seems good same with alt. I have no problem working on them if I have to or send them out. I just dont want my cluster out for 6 months.

@dadsbee do you know if the 70 Bee had the option for the wood grain for the rally dash?

I'm fairly certain there was wood grain available on '69 and '70's.

Oil gauge pegs, I doubt it's the gauge... bad sender or wire is shorting out. No different than checking a fuel tank sender. Ground it out and it goes full scale. Fuel gauge going all over the place, same deal.. unless you have loose connections or a bad 5V regulator.

My clock, I just set my OE aside and bought a new OER tic tock tach until I had time. The "how to" is pretty complete in my restoration thread. Decal set from Patik at PCG

MOST of the clocks simply are gummed up after 50 years. Carefully spray some Berkable 2+2 gum cutter and clean out the mechanism. Then use a very light sewing oil and most come right back into proper operation.

Performance car graphics have always been good to me... when you put a detailed description in the box when you send them in. Put RUSH on your list of repairs and they will do there best to get it back to you. You can call them as well. There usually there late after 9pm Eastern time.

Was probably when his sweetheart had passed away that you had communication issues with him. Sorry to hear he's in the hospital...

Shannon at Redline Gauge is another option if you decide to send them out. He is a Mopar guy himself. I've had him do 4 instrument clusters for me with no issues.

Buy the gauge faces from somewhere reputable (I got mine from PCG as well) and take your gauges to a local speedo shop if there is one. After a google search I found a place near me did a great job, fixing my wandering speedo needle, putting on the decals, and painting the yellowed needles. Well worth the money.

Talk to @steve817 , he's a member here, he restores complete instrument clusters and all the components from what I understand. His work looks very nice and I believe some members have used his services and been very happy with his work. Can't hurt to get his input.
