My new 66 Charger

Let me know if you want an almost new 67 drum brake master cylinder.
I have one in a box, just took it off my Satellite for a disc conversion.

Thanks Don, I will let you know.

By the way, I removed the offending trunk emblem, it is now residing in my tool box. I am going to leave the fender emblems on though. I used to have a 500 stroker masquerading as a 383. Now I have a 361 masquerading as a 383.

I've got a 66 Charger sporting 440 badges. People say the 66's didn't come with a 440. I say, it has one now so I labeled it correctly. Of course, many people don't care and just oh and ah cause the 440 is cool.

good to see you got it home  they are great to drive go through jarvis alot hope to see you driving it

Thanks I've got a few small items to deal with first but hope to drive it a lot

Started my updates with the carb and air cleaner. I knew it was an AFB carb on a thermoquad manifold with an adapter, but look what I found, it was upside down! I replaced the adapter with a stock thermoquad quarter inch fiber base gasket and a four hole aluminum plate sandwiched between two square bore gaskets. That got rid of my heat soak issues, and it runs pretty good now. I also adjusted the kickkdown and the trans is shifting much better now as well. I have a new intake and carb to install in the winter, and I will have to redo the throttle and kickdown linkage as they just bent the two barrel linkage.

The air cleaner was another mess. Look at the hacked base plate they used with the stock two barrel top. Nice sharp edges right over the fuel hose. I got my restored air cleaner installed and it just fits on the drivers side between the two A/C lines. The car is a great cruiser, and I am loving driving it so far. Lots of other little details to finalize yet.

Nice 66! I actually have the same factory CC1 paint with blue interior, 361 with factory AC and console clock. I’m the 3rd owner, the second owner painted it Mazda Nassau Blue which I’m happy with. Enjoy the car!

They sound identically optioned. Where was yours from? Mine was apparently from Arizona.

Gotta love cold A/C especially on a 90 degree day. Happy to hear you got your car, I know you were waiting on it for quite a while. Congratulations!

Got my new lift today, so I have lots of little projects for the winter. It is going to be so nice working underneath now.

What an improvement, makes the hobby way more enjoyable. I would like to have one too. Congratulations Dave, that's a nice man cave.

Cheers,
Wolfgang

I so glad to see another first generation Dodge Charger adopted. Looks like it has gone to a good home.
I own a 66 383/AT, AC , a 67 383/ 4 speed, A/C and an awesome 67 440/4 speed. All factory equipped as stated.
Lots of thumbs up. FYI, you may have become addicted to these cool underrated cars.
Good luck

Awesome improvement to your garage, im jealous. You can store more cars in there, and work on the car from underneath WITHOUT a jack or jack stands. Man lifts are a beautiful thing and invention, wish we had one or 2 in our garage but sadly it is too small. Damn from that picture it looks like the roof of the car JUST touches the roof of the garage

It is the angle of the camera. There is actually about 6 inches clearance.
