I've got a new Fast MSD box and coil. The wiring is pretty self explaining except one small red wire. Instructions call for it to he wired in to a wire that is hot when the key is on and also hot when trying to start the engine. Which wire would be a good one for that?

Connect the blue (ign 1) and brown (ballast by-pass) wires at the ballast resistor together, connect them to the red ignition sense lead for the MSD.

Thanks for your quick reply. I don't have a ballast resister on the firewall; only a regulator with a green wire out one end and a blue and a blue with a tracer off other. There is a brown wire that ties into the blue one.
