I have absolutely no idea if this is the original factory radiator or not. 1970 real V-code Roadrunner. Factory 4 speed.
The numbers that I think matter I can only make out "289 (something) 047"
26" radiator. See pic. I want to sell it since I have a Cold Case aluminum radiator going in as part of massive number of systems, upgrades, reinforcements, and changes. This one is never going back in, and I sure am not going to hang on to it.

2898047: 1968 B body 26" 383/440 auto/man heater/AC

@tnfastback
:thankyou:
It's a 1968 440 4 speed radiator. Here's the data:
2898047 1968 B 26" 440 Manual Heater With 492
I don't know what "With 492" means, but this is the description for my radiator.

That is because they copied Galens "White Book". I just didn't include the last part "Inc 492" because I have no clue on what it means. I tried to figure out, but got nowhere. I got mine when I had my Superbee decoded. My book is 5th printing Feb '95

You should have a
2998956 1970 B 26" 426 440 Both Heater

My Galens book is the 8th Edition, dated February of 1999. For the 2898047 radiator it says that the S/C [Sales Code] for this radiator is 492.

This same 26" radiator was used on 1968 440 B body cars with a manual trans with a heater, or a 1968 383/440 automatic with AC [according to Galen].

Hope this helps.....

Yep.
I guess I'll just "guess" how much to ask for it.
If anyone wants to make suggestions on value, I won't be offended.
I'm not surprised, at all, that my FrankenCar has a radiator from a 1968 car.
I've suspected pretty much since I bought my car that it saw some quarter mile dedicated duty at some point, for some time. I haven't been able to document the mileage on the odometer, but it was around 28,000 miles. I saw a couple of short, maybe 4 or 5" slices around the 12o'clock position in the transmission tunnel, right where an automatic transmission floor shifter would go. Original engine and 4 speed missing. The 440 in it I'm pretty sure is a 1971 according to the raised cast in block numbers. It DEFINITELY has the factory 6bbl forged steel crank, "6 pack rods", valve notches in the stock bore flat top pistons, and offset weighted harmonic balancer. Aluminum Edelbrock 6bbl intake. In the last week, I was told the Dana 60 in it is from a 68 or 69 Hemi car, I'm thinking the mechanic assumed Hemi car because it's a passenger car Dana 60 from 1968 I think he said.
None of that bothers me either, I know for a fact the car itself is a real V-code Track Pack 4 speed car, but with all of the changes I'm making, pretty much like it was when I bought it, the car itself, VIN. fender tag, and the radiator cradle and rear quarter trunk lip are the only "V-code" things left.
Thanks

You have a lot of company with the “frankencar”. 50 years in the hands of “car guys” is a long time. Even the “numbers matching” cars often are not original parts, just appropriate numbers.

I already had a forum member say he wanted it before I got "better advice"...
I'm not going to renig on a sale I posted.
I have a number of other parts that I'm selling, like my skid plate equipped w/date "coin" K-member, upper and lower control arms, etc.
I'll be more careful pricing them out.

The origional radiator on my 1970 RS23VOA****** is # 2998956. The car was built at the Lynch Road plant the 3rd week of November 1969 as a 1970 model. The car has the A34 super track pack option with the max cooling rad, # 2906070 torque drive fan clutch with shroud, 4.10 Dana 60 rear plus PS-PDB. Hope this helps....

Whats worth the coin on that rad is the tanks n rad supports n shroud, the core can be replaced

Someone is getting a great bargain, but hey, I have had some great people on the forum help me out a lot.
A forum member sent me their front drum spindles, because I had my original spindles replaced by the proprietary spindles that came with the Right Stuff disc brake conversion kit I got from Dr. Diff. I saw no reason to keep them, because I figured I had my forever front disc brakes.
Well I was SHOCKED to discover the Wilwood 12.88 dia front disc brakes MUST use the factory DRUM spindles!
NO ONE MAKES NEW ONES!
So I'm grateful for having someone give me a set, and the installer said they looked brand new.
I think Wilwood should make a quality new spindle for their drum to disc conversion kit, and I am disappointed no one makes new drum spindles for the applications that match my 70 Roadrunner.
