1968 Charger, Ray Barton 528 Hemi, Pro-touring.

Man you've been on a mission since I last looked, it looks amazing!!! Way to go, now the fun begins.

How did the Raptor spray, nice texture, did you use the supplied throw away gun? I'm almost ready to paint my dad's truck and will be doing the underside in bed liner as well, been looking at Raptor.
Thank's!
The goal is to have it down on all four wheels this summer so I can take it home to my garage next to the house so I can finally get it done this winter. Makes it easier sneak out from time to time..
Regarding raptor bedliner. Super easy to mix and spray with the supplied gun. But damn is this stuff hard! Wondering if it's so hard that it can be brittle and start chipping off eventually? Someone with more experience needs to chime in here..
But texture is nice, easy to spray. I like it.
But use gloves for gods sake.. it took weeks before my hands returned to normal.

Anyone used these rims here? I was thinking 18" and with these dishes. Dishes is already on the shelf.
The picture is not of the actual 9,5" rim. E-mailed the seller asking for a picture of the actual rim so I can see how deep it looks.

Completed assembly of the wiper motor, looks neat under the hood. But what nuts to use?

Is this how it should be? Had this gasket kit on the shelf but I'm just guessing here.

Completed the rear brake line and made a bracket for the fuel pump.

Plumbing almost completed, now it's on to detail the Dana 60 with brakes and brake lines so I can hang it up there and lower the rear end to the ground.

I had a steering wheel in poor condition, cracked and miserable. Had a look at YouTube videos of wheel restorations so decided to give it a try. The wheel was shot anyway..
Used a dremel to clean up and widen all cracks to let the epoxy putty have something fresh to grab on to. Let it cure and filed it down first. Then sanding, priming and black epoxy detailing black. For the outer crome ring I tried using some thin strips of aluminium tape. I will finish it off with some thick coats of clear.

Nice repair on that steering wheel!
Mike

Bracket for fuel pump completed but the rubber dampers were a big fail, way to flimsy. Need to swap them for a sturdier type.
Thought I could hang the fuel tank to complete the plumbing but I just couldn't. Someone before me had sprayed it with some brown-black soft goo..
So what to do.. wire-wheeled off the goo and sanded it down to a smooth finish. Took me some hours but hanging it up now will be way more satisfying. Sprayed it with a clear coat and called it a night.

Threw some stuff in the zink-bath, good investment. Cleaned up hangers and now it's ready to be fitted.

Industrial grade dampers was much better.
Hanged the tank and finished the rear plumbing.
Fabricated some tube clamps out of delrin plastic.

I had a magnaflow exhaust system from a mopar E-body on the shelves that I was thinking of modifying to try and make it fit the Charger since I was gonna fit cut-outs anyway. But after taking a closer look I decided to sell it and buy something else, too much work to cut it up.
Any recomendations? Summit had a Pyle system with a decent price tag. It doesn't need to be that loud due to the coming cut-outs.

Cleaned up and painted some springs from an RT/SE Charger that were pretty fresh.
Fitted brakelines to the Dana60 with my own clamps.

Nice work!

I bought a Pypes 409 stainless system for my 70 Road Runner and I have been very happy with it. The one I bought uses an X pipe and theses seem to both mellow out sound as well as increase torque. https://pypesexhaust.com/

Good luck!

A thinner backing plate, some shimming here and there and it's starting to look decent.
Haven't got a clue how the supplied brake hose should be fitted to the bracket though..
