Longknife, - I've tracked it back to 1974. In 1974 it sat on a Concord, NC car lot unsold where the dealer moved it to the back of the lot. Someone purchased the car and donated it to the local High School where they sold raffle tickets for $1 as a fund-raiser for the High School Football Team. (photo attached)
The gentleman that won it (bought one $1 ticket) and then sold to a buddy of his (and I believe he's a member on this site) Kenny Brackett. Kenny had the car several years and hosted the Winged Warriors Event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Richard Petty attended the event and signed several cars that were there. (this one has his signature on the glove box)
Kenny then sold to a collector in SC who then sold to a collector in Southern MO which is where I purchased the car a couple of months a

go.
There was a "quick" paint job done on the car for the Winged Warriors Event but is just a little thin and a touch off of being the correct B5 Blue. So IM taking it back to B5 and she'll look amazing here soon. The Build Sheet was found with NASCAR written across the top in red marker. (although I've not been successful in locating the sheet) "was sent to SC when Kenny sold in early 2000's."

Sullie, Thanks for the info. I worked for a C-P dealer in Illinois from 69 to 73 and we had a B5 Superbird. It sat on the showroom floor for a year and got lots of attention but was not sold. It was moved back to the garage when the '71's came out. Never knew what happened to it...Ed

Kenny Brackett: now that's a name I haven't heard for a LONG time. Kenny was the Treasurer for the Mopar Muscle Club in its infancy as I recall. I was the Director for Canada at the time. If Kenny is on FBBO I'd love to hear from him.

He's legendary for sure, i spoke with him shortly after buying the car and he seemed like a great guy.

Damn, she lost her feathers! How long before she gets a new dress? :)
