What is the best adhesive to use to attach the console carpet pieces? The trim adhesive I used is not working. The carpet peels right off.

Also, are the side carpet pieces held by the stainless trim pieces or do they just butt up against them?

Buy the good stuff and follow the directions. 3M super. Mask off where you don’t want it as it will not wipe off.

The side carpet goes under the trim. And it is also glued on.

I went to a local upholstery shop and purchased a small container of the commercial grade (brush-on) adhesive. Worked well for me.

sorry but that stuff is junk spend the money and get permatex spray or brush both the carpet & the console let dry to touch then put together be careful once its on its on

The factory carpet on my console was notched for the side trim clips. Trim goes on after the carpet for sure. Get a good glue - 3M Super 77, Armaflex, or similar.

I guess you wouldn’t have a picture of the notches? My carpet pieces will need some slight trimming to align perfectly with the trim pieces.

I haven’t had any issues with this adhesive before but I’ll definately get something better. I just have to figure out how to get this adhesive off the carpet and bracket now.

Hot glue. The recommended 3M adhesive failed on mine several times. Hot glue is still holding, even in + 110 degree temps.

I tried the 3M- Super77 and it failed several times now. It worked on very light duty gluing. I got a spray can of what the pros all use in the upholstery shops around here. Not easy to get. One of the shops sold me a can.
