Looks like they want to change from a 2 mile Oval to 1/2 mile paperclip.
I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. Needs time to sink in.

Should just go build it in parking lot #4 haha! Or back in all that grassy area on the back stretch.

Too many 1.5 mile tracks now IMO. Short track racing always a better show.

They managed to turn Bristol into a freight train track.
Why not Fontana?
Yes, I know its owned by SMI.

I think it's a mistake
what are they going to do with all the other race venues there ?
it's not just a NASCAR track

but I don't watch much anymore anyway

not the same since Dodge left
& the PC crowd took it over

I hatted Bill France & family, treating Dale Sr. like a God
(he was in some cases, I 'liked Dale Sr.', just not the obvious rules bias)
& treated everyone else like trash in his rearview mirror
but it was a better show under them

Its not like they gave jeffy poo any preferential treatment.
Na$car is wwe on wheels.

I don’t watch it much anymore anyway. It’s a dying sport, the precursor series and avenues are having grand difficulty attracting talent that has the resolve to stay with it. The days of hell raisers with their own cars, and therefore skin in the game and emotional investment, are gone. It’s all daddy buying you “in”.

The final dominoes were the car of the future, spec made engines with no connection to a production engine, and my personal favorite - 6 pin wheel and a single spinner vs 5 lug nuts.

I wish them good luck, and hope they can survive. They were awesome at their peak!

What got them to their peak also led to their downfall.
