Hello I have 440 trying to get oil in all the right places before I start it up. I know that u can Remove the distributor. Stick this tool down in there to run the oil pump to prime the engine with a drill does any one know where I can get one r due I have 2 make it? I know that a shaft out of an old distributor would work but just dont have one. Well iam open 4 ideas .

Rotate the engine clockwise with a 1 1/4” socket on the balancer attaching bolt while running the drill CCW. This will line up the holes for the rocker shaft oiling. You will need to go around twice to do it.

End up on #1 pushing out air on compression stroke line up timing mark with 0 on the timing tab. Then you can put the oil pump drive back in. The slot needs to run front to rear parallel with the crankshaft.

remove the spark plugs and the crank turns much easier

A lot of Ford transmissions have the hex shaft you are looking for. E4OD for example. Ask a local trans shop or wrecking yard. Exact size as the Mopar shaft.
