Do You Know What I Discovered Today?

Almost ready for the road after a five year PERSONAL restoration.. I have about 30 days before this is my new DAILY DRIVER

My GTX has been a perfect weather driver and the new road rash every time I drive it pains me greatly. But we're moving to NE and it had to get there somehow! Left Tuesday morning and did 300+ miles. Stayed off interstate so that added 1-1/2 hours. But what a time it was! Wow was it hot out though.

I love this thread because all of you guys are JUST LIKE ME. First whether we have a driver or two we love to clean our cars. My dad taught me whether it be your classic car or your tractor never put equipment away dirty. I can take mine to get gas a mile away and when I get back it's getting dusted at a minimum with my California duster. Now when I have to take my Superbird out for a NYS Inspection I give my mechanic a whole 2 hour notice because I am watching the radar. Even if there is a 30% chance not going out. Reason being we know it can be sunny one minute and pouring the next certain times of the year. When I gas up can't even get gas in the car for thirty minutes because it draws too much attention and everyone wants to talk. An old timer told me its a curse to own one because they draw too much attention. I have had guys stop in the middle of a signaled intersection to talk - not kidding.
Bottom line it's a dream to own one - sometimes it's a great conversation piece but yes when you take it out you have to plan your course and weather very carefully to make sure it comes back home without incident so we can spend an hour cleaning it again - LOL

Enjoy.

What.. you don't drive in the rain... :D Mind you the Bee is a sunshine only car now...

Rain is just water same as washing it off!
Rain doesn't scare me any ! It's a car nor a one of a kind art sculpture!
Yes it's rare as hell and expensive

Mine hasn't seen water since 2000, when the restoration was started. Yes, I drive it and the wipers also work.
Different strokes for different folks. :)
