hi All,

im doing some final work for a 727-to-tko500 swap. my new driveshaft has a 1330/7260 u-joint combo on the rear end part of the driveshaft. ive ordered the 7290 10-spline pinion from Dr Diff and got the new 1330/7290 inbound.

vids on YouTube make it look like the yoke swap can be done while everything is assembled in the car. however nothing i saw was specific to the 8.75” rear.

can the pinion yokes be swapped without taking the 741 or axels n such out?

thanks,

And you don't have to worry about a dang crush sleeve because 741 doesn't have one....

awesome. Thanks!

all vids mentioned to mark orientation of the nut before disassembly and to keep track of threads showing and install back with both items matching. will do that.

With a 741, just torque the nut to factory specs, and forget it. The marking the nut business is for a crush sleeve rear, and that goes out the window with a yoke change.
