Hurricane Sally...This one looks like a direct hit on biomedtechguy...

I'm watching the track, but as of Sunday mid-day, the eye is going over my house.
Water all around me, no levee protection.
Most everything still off the ground from Marco and Laura, but I got lucky with those 2 going further west.
I expect to have a couple of feet of water on the ground, but the house is 5 feet up.
Hopefully no trees come down from saturated ground.
I'll check in when I can. Prayers welcome.
hope :praying: for the best
but prepare for the worst...

stay safe my friend

I checked on the house under construction by the beach in Mississippi.
I guess the first block off the beach is a low spot, because the road along the beach is dry, and the street and land goes UP as you move away from the beach, so still a long way to go, but I had water in the street only a few feet away with Cristobal.
This was today in Mississippi!

Stay high and dry, prayers sent!!

Looking at the weather now, you may have dodged the bullet, but it looks like Alabama is going to get the flood. I assume you're now on the west side of Sally.

Yes sir Jerry, west of the LA/MS state line. I'm between Slidell and Mandeville. Mobile Bay is the Bull's Eye of the current track prediction.
What parts do you hail from? I'm sorry I don't remember.

Looks like you need to give RC a call judging from all those stairs. The older I get the gladder I am on buying a single story home.

I think it will be calmed down by the time it gets here. I'm about 20 miles NE of Montgomery Alabama, well off the coast.

Things aren’t shaping up too well here in Pensacola. That damn storm keeps shifting to the east and getting stronger. I’m spending the next couple nights on the boat at the dock across the street from my house. These are the days boat ownership makes you question your sanity. Best of luck to everyone in harms way.

Prayers are with all of you in harm's way.

I can't post enough of these:
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
to convey how funny that hit me as!
Thanks!!
To all concerned (rightfully so) about the 11 feet or so off the ground that my "Cruisin The Coast" party house is, and me with my beat up knees, lower back, etc, and any "likewise infirm" forum friends who I hope will come to Cruisin The Coast and the CtC party pad, I DESIGNED THE HOUSE WITH AN ELEVATOR from the get go, and it's part of the cost of the house, to be installed immediately!
:thumbsup::bananadance::monkeyleft:stairs:icon_fU: :lol:

Prayers for you and yours!
I think the forum prayed the worst of the storm away from me!! No joke, since I first posted, the track went from a worse case scenario to much better! I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but at least the REALLY grim flooding via SURGE threat looks like it won't come to be!
