Simple question - what spray product out there is the closest thing to B5 blue that I can go buy at Home Depot or wherever? Thank you.

I have been wondering about this also. Looks dark in the picture. Has anyone tried it?

You can't go by the color of the plastic cap on ANY paint that mopar sells. Invest in a can and spray a test card.

When I ask my jobber to mix me some B5 blue a while back he ask me, what year, said the mix codes changed from year to year. Not sure if that is true or not, but I told him for a 72, and I got what he mixed. Others here may know if it does indeed vary by year.......

Late model B5, pre-2010 or 11, was an existing color called Surf Blue. You maybe able to find that at the local parts store in Duplicolor or something like that.
You should also be able to get spray cans mixed at your local auto paint supply. They can make whatever color you want.

He is correct
Name of the code may stay but the mix can change. Most times it's more like a 5 yr.
Plus run then a switch if it does happen.
He is just being careful.
Good paint man you have there.
As for the OPs post, go to your local paint shop, or automotive that mixes and give them the year and code for a rattle can mix.

From time to time this subject comes up
Guys if you need to do a little touch up go to a hobby store and get a cheap electric powered air brush set.
Then you can purchase a 1/2 pint of color and keep a qt. Of reducer on hand. It will provide better results with a little practice.

You know you can go to an automotive paint supplier and give them your paint code and they can make it in an aerosol can..might be a little more than a Rustoleum off the shelf but will match better.

Can't believe I still have the can from 8 years ago. Sounds like the little bit that was in there is gone now.
