Has anyone came up with a way to re-label these fuse blocks? I took mine apart to put in some new fuse holders and made the mistake of cleaning it with Simple Green. I have a Brother label machine but it won't do any letters that small. I doubt the labels would stick anyway. Anyone with suggestions?

You can buy a decal sheet of letters and numbers from a model railroad hobby shop. I did my instrument cluster with them. And they have many different tiny scale sizes.

The letters are so tiny it may be extremely hard to reproduce. I have had luck with larger letters and ink stamp, but those are way too small to try.

If you don't want a repop and really want to try, here is what I suggest:

Go to a good vinyl or label making pro. have them make a master label with all the correct lettering in the right spots (going to take time). Then have them "wrap the box". Then razor cut out the fuse holes.

I had a vinyl done for a prototype in the past and unless you looked really close you could not see it was a label.

Not sure what else you could try unless you have one hell of a steady painting hand!

A photo should be in the service manual if you have one.
If not you can find it on line. I got my wife to print me a label ( like a return address label size) from the computer.
Or make your own on a index card and put it in the glove box.

if the letters are embedded in the fuse box use a paint marker you can cut the tip to a sharp point if you go out side the lines use a q-tip to clean off while wet. that is how i did the fuel rails in gold.

It would have been nice if they were imbedded. It appears they were stamped on with a small pad dipped in white ink. That idea works well with imbedded or raised letters.

Ok, I took a closer look at mine and realized mine is pretty crappy too, LOL. There may be a market for this if you find a good way to do it.

Definitely not engraved, flat stamped.

Font is super-small and areas are thin. Not much room for error.

Show us what you end up with, I am very curious.

Well.............The Jury is still out. I have a Brothers Label machine but it won't print smaller than a 10 font. I have been looking for a labeler that can print an 8 or 6 font with white letters on clear or black tape but have not spent much time looking. For now, I took a page from Darter6 in post 4. My computer can print size 8 on an address label so that is where I'm at right now. Better than nothing but who knows how long the labels would stay put. I think a wider clear label with white print would work better. Here is a pic a what I have now.

That looks pretty good. Just put a thin coat of clear varnish or clear-coat on them and they should last a while.

Good solution.

Wait: shouldn't it be a 3A fuse on top and a 7.5A fuse on the bottom?

The 5A for the radio / Back-up lights was still readable. I wasn't sure about the instrument pnl lights. Could have been a 3A but looked more like a 2 to me. Plus I have LED dash lights. 2A is a great plenty for them. Here is a readable block I found on the net. Says 68 Barracuda but it helped me decide.
