PASSENGERS?

These things were built as 5-6 passenger vehicles.
Load 'em up!

P.S. If one of 'em equals two normal people, do the math and act accordingly. :)
One DID weigh MORE than 2 normal people and I couldn't do the math because they are indivisable, thus the quandry...

Scared and lonely? I say "HA!"
The big person was with me when crossing this skinny little bridge today.:carrot:

Mate, your original question didn't mention a 4-600 lbs (!) person. The way you framed it, including the comment on the back seat and preferring only one passenger made it appear your car was a little precious.
I'm glad it's not, and I'm glad you did a good deed. I regularly have kids, dog, bags etc in my car and I don't fret. Saying that, would I let someone who weighed nearly 17% of the weight of the car in it - no way! Unless of course it was a good friend, a dying wish or an absolute emergency. I think it would be almost a hazard, all that weight on one side. Maybe a quick spin around the block, but not a long trip.

That title made me think of Grampa, God rest his soul. When I go, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like him.....................................not like his 3 screaming passengers! :)

I should have asked "Has a morbidly obese person ever BROKEN a seat in your car?"
Not my car....but the fat prick I used to work with actually did break two drivers seat in work ute's (pickup trucks)
I had a special sticker made up....and placed it on his bumper when he was at lunch one day. Having trouble finding the picture on the truck...this is from the same roll of stickers - I had 100 made. Worth it for the giggles.

This was 'incident' #2 I believe ...before I started working there....

His fault...left work to go to Wendys for a snack on the way home for dinner. Couldn't wait 5 minutes, so grabbed a pack of peanuts from work.... shovelled down his huge gullet, and choked on one. Passed out, veered across the center line and smashed another car and hit the truck you see. Police were initially going to prosecute for an 'Insecure Load', but then someone pointed out that the load was still firmly attached to the roof racks....which are on the road in the foreground. Police decided on 'Littering' instead.

Imagine my surprise when on the north end of town, I drive past this place...

Sorry...not trying to derail the thread....

Much Snapchat Gold has been produced at that fat bastard's expense...(this was done on a straight road in dry & clear conditions on the way to work one day - same guy)...

More Gold...

The Engineer across the driveway from the workshop had repaired the drivers seat at least twice that I know of....reinforced as well. The guy weighs 180kg that we know of...396 pounds roughly....most of that is useless fat. :D

Hey...Didn't you send me one of those ?

Yes. 'Big' people have broken things with simply their ponderance. I KNEW I had cause for concern.

It was a last minute post before setting out. I did not proofread what I wrote & was not processing my feelings efficiently.
I have just had to complete a bunch of 'sensitivity' type classes required for work.
Does it show?
Have I offended anyone with my choice of words?
I don't think I'm allowed to say the f-word anymore.
PS: My car is precious! But I USE it, not abuse it.
Did you see the picture of a cat litter box in it? :drinks:

Kind of like in small planes, where the crew has to ask how much the passengers weigh - so the dang
thing will get off the ground. :)

I can't say anything. I'm 250, the result of all their playing with meds once the thyroid cancer
deal was sorted out and they roto-rooted my neck of all of those glands (and the thyroid itself,
of course).
When the blood numbers are right, I'm 250. When they're dangerously wrong, I'm 225.
Live bigger or die skinnier, I suppose. :)
It's not like I'm fat, just more like big. Nobody believes me when I tell them how much I weigh.

Can't say that I've ever broken anything from my girth, but a lot of those little office chairs don't
fit me. At all. Same with the bolstered late model car seats - those are made for some narrow-assed
little people and cause me pain on long trips (sciatica).

Or the crew says "We're all going to die!"

I just got a very nice 'Thank You' text from the person.
They enjoyed the ride very much.

Here is a little mansplaining:
I feel awkward even bringing up the subject of a person's weight. That escalated beyond what was necessary to get my question/concern out there. This was an uncommon situation.
For instance, the seatbelt extender would not clip on to the Charger's and would not have been long enough anyway.

I always intended to give the subject a ride and they were looking forward to it so I drove very carefully...
I had a 'flashback' to when the rear seat got stretched out for a few days and when I realized 2x that weight was going to be in the front seat I really wondered if it would hold up. I was going through with this regardless and just got curious as to if anyone had suffered breakage because of a extra heavy passenger. I DID assist rider with in/out of car so they did not push down on the door for leverage because that would most definitely caused some damage.
After the initial getting in and getting outs I more or less relaxed.
I need to work on my communication skills via the keyboard...:drama:
I guess that if you can get in to the car you can ride, if not I can't do anything about that and my front seat integrity is good to 400#.

What ahh...an interesting thread this has been. Suppose if ya know someone that's incredibly large requiring a lift, consider a forklift or a 2500 HD pickup...bout all I can suggest. I have a friend who is a tad over 300lbs maybe 350 - wide body sort, and I just kept leaning to the left as he sat in the passenger bucket to curb the odds of a roll over when taking left turns. I'm being sarcastic...I'm on my 3rd beer now.
