New Springs on Stealth Heads and Lifter Preload?

Factory heads? With some good lighting, you should be able to look down and get an idea how close the lifter plunger is to the retainer. Is it a spring retainer, or Truarc?

They are Stealth heads. I'm not sure how factory heads are but the hole isnt large enough for me to see anything. I think it's a spring but I have no idea

Correct. Cannot see on any of the aftermarket heads

Any chance you can take a photo of the adjustable rockers you are using? Most adjustable rockers require a cup end on the top of the pushrod.

The Magnums are for ball/ball pushrods

Good pic. The adjuster sure is up there.

Is that a 5/16" ball end on your pushrod? It looks like a 3/8" pushrod, and if so, the end doesnt seem quite right.

Just looks like a 5/16” pushrod to me.

Compared to my test piece rocker, it appears like that would be a bit less than one turn out.

Sounds like your OK. With the other rockers I have used that have the cup type adjuster, I think the cup gets oil from about the all the way up position to about 3 turns down. If you have zero preload with the adjuster all the way up, and around 0.030"- 0.060" lifter preload with about 1 to 1-1/2 turns down then everything should be good.

In my pic, I'm exactly one full turn out there. The rods are 5/16" Trickflows and are 8.45" in length.

Sounds like I'll be adding a full turn the rest of my adjusters and throw her back together and see how she sounds.
