At Mopar Day at St. Thomas Dragway (yesterday - Sept. 19, 2020). More photos to come. I thought this one deserved its own thread.

Owner said he bought the truck in Washington State and brought it back to Ontario Canada. Says that it is one of four with a 426 street wedge. 365 hp and 490 torque. Said that Chrysler authorized 50 trucks in 1964 and 1965 to be built with the 426. Should have taken an engine photo (d'oh!). Sorry about that.

Love the patina on this old truck. That's Stan Giles (Stanton on this forum) to the left of the truck.

Very Cool Truck ! 4sp or auto ? Love those rear tires & rims !

I had a 62 Sweptline like that with a pushbutton auto. It was a 318 poly. Still regret letting it go. It was a fun old truck.

MCG did a story on one of these trucks several years back. awsome trucks.

There's a name for those factory 426 trucks but it escapes me.

There was a black one with all kinds of documentation at SGMP last time I went.

yeah I've been trying to remember the name too.like the RO/WO cars.

Thanks for posting. I have had two 69 Sweptlines wish I would have kept the 383 one. I am a fan of them.

You could also get them with a console, CSS, Custom Sport Special. I had 64’ CSS, short bed, 3/4 ton. The 318 in it was crap, so a 383/727 went in it. I sold it to a member on the forum.

I'd be curious to know where you got all that stuff?
years ago I was researching the
64 (IIRC 65, 66 & 67) 426cid equipped Custom Sports Special trucks
when one came up for sale, somewhere http://www.autabuy.com IIRC

I have a few more photos too

I think it was a topic over at https://www.fortrucksonly.com
in one of the vintage dodge truck treads
from what I read there were way more than 4
IIRC there were 4 sent to Canada, in 1964 (don't quote me)
& not sure (don't remember) how many were in USA
it wasn't only 4, Custom Sports Special,
it was an obscure & not well-known option for 4 consecutive years
(not sure if it was 426cid all years either, I don't think it was)
