Looks like a low pressure cut out switch. Don't know the color of what goes to what but the power signal for the clutch should go through that switch and the high side cut out should also be in that line. One line should also go to the dash to tell you if you have a a/c problem. But your best bet is the book and read it.

Hillbilly look in the center of the switch it maybe adjustable which then you can set the pressure cut out to what you want. If you adjust the switch the clutch will hang in there longer and drive down the temp. Remember all switches are set for factory and warranty. If you're low side is set to cut out at 15 psi you can adjust down to say 10 psi but don't starve the low side either it will hurt the compressor. But a couple psi won't hurt.

IMO...
Because the pressure switch is on the liquid line of the dryer, I believe its a HIGH PRESSURE switch, a normally closed action, that opens on high pressure that may be caused by a clogged or restricted TXV....there is also a high pressure relief valve, that is part of the dryer assembly, that would open venting excessive system pressure.

It is a low pressure switch to protect the compressor.

71 RR. You can see the wires in question. Not at home to verify, deployed at the moment
