The original radiator frame mounting holes are approximately twenty-five and three quarters apart. Am I going to have to cut this frame out to accommodate the bigger radiator? The seller I'm dealing with is telling me a twenty-inch core will work? I am afraid it will overheat with that smaller one. If I need to cut it wouldn't I have to cut both sides to center the radiator?

Thanks in advance

Nope. The left side (Driver side) stays the same. The correct way to swap in a 26" radiator where a 22" used to live it to replace the passenger side plate in the core support. Cheap Charlie way is to drill the existing plate and bolt it up. AMD makes the plate if you want to replace it.

I have found that AMD side plate is very flimsy not the same gauge steel as the original panel.

The original panel is 18 gauge and the AMD panel is only 22 gauge.... Be advised...

I sent mine back for a refund last week.

I have a shroud so placement of the radiator is important what's your take on this?
