Seems this tractor won't leave me alone. Front wheel bearing took a dump. I'm really wanting to get back to the X. I got the garage cleaned over the weekend in preparation for getting it ready for the vinyl top.

My nephew scored his first archery deer tonight. Very proud of him.

He was so excited. He's ruined for life now. First day of season, first archery hunt, and probably the last season we'll get to hunt on the family farm before selling. Bittersweet, the farms been in the family for about 160 years.

It's about time I caught up with your thread here. It's so dang BIG, you know. :)
I see dozens of bits and pieces that I'm pretty sure aren't on Fred, but I'll eventually get around to them
as they pop up...

Speaking as someone who's witnessed most of my own family pass, it pains me to see you speak of
yours losing the homestead and I wish that didn't have to happen. Heritage is so important and it just
seems to be lost in this world anymore...

Tractors? I just hope my own 17 year old baby Massey hangs in there a while longer. Last one I helped
split, I swore I'd never do that again. :)

Oh well, just thought I'd pop in and say AWESOME JOB on the GTX! Love seeing them done right.
Someday....
Take care,
Ed

Ed, they're done right if it's the way you like it. No one will like anyone's build 100%. So ya just have to do what you like and ignore the noise.
I finally got the tractor up and running again after new wheel bearings, should be good now for a while.
It's heartbreaking about the farm, I play the lotto every week hoping I can win to save it. Over 250 acres so that's probably about 1.25 million, a little more than I have squirreled away....
Thanks for taking a look. I have extra pieces so if your ever in need check with me first, maybe I can help ya out.

Those are big white tails you have on the farm. Beautiful deer. I'm sorry to hear about the farm.

Insert sad face emoji here...

Hopefully you mean the farm & not the deer....

How ya been? Well I hope.
I have been doing great. I have been enjoying my car, taking it on small cruses and dates with my wife. It is also the time of year that I have been enjoying the mountains, camping, and hunting. I will be leaving for a week on an elk hunt in a couple days. I am excited to get out with the horses and go hunting.
You are still doing a great job on your car. I like to see your professional work.

So I dug out the headliner, carpet, & vinyl top yesterday and took them up to my Interior guy Mark Day. I've had the parts for several years and still in the box. I was concerned about creases and would he be able to work with them. He looked everything over and said they would be ok. But he recommended I lay them out to relax a bit between now and when I take him the car in a couple weeks. So that'll be on the list for this weekend. Along with gathering up the bows, and clips. Plus all the other things needed for the install. Looking at early Nov. Does anyone have any tips on items I need to modify or check?
Thanks.

Remember the clips along the top windshield that hold the molding at the interior head of the windshield!

Do you have a picture of those? I'm not sure which ones your speaking of....
