Hello FBBO,
I have a large set of torches for sale.
Comes with cart, cutting torch, brazing torch, new hoses.
I got them from my dad when he passed and I have never used them.
The tanks are empty. I am attaching a picture, $250.00 obo
I thought I would offer here first before general public.

p.m. me if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Moparmayhem

Did he own the tanks or are they rentals? They also should be date coded (look at the stamp on the top of the tank) and most places won't fill a tank if it's too old.

They would probably need to be re-certified but per DOT rules there is no age limit...

What does the Dept. of Transportation have to do with gas tanks? I have had AirGas refuse to fill a tank because they said it was too old. I am only speaking from experience.

They are responsible for the codes pertaining to pressurized cylinders....
If you'd cared to push the issue (which tends to piss people off) they were wrong... Then again company policy vs government codes.....

In Pennsylvania, I turned my large tanks in, (I do not know what CF they were anymore, but larger then the ones in the above picture). I was told by my gas/oxy. Supply Co. (about five years ago) I could no longer own my large bottles anymore (some new state law) all bottles of that size would have to be leased. My dad purchased them from a Gas Supply Co. (I have the Receipt yet)after he came back to the States after WWII. I now have a small oxy. bottle I lease by the year that can only to be filled by the Co. that owns it. I do own smaller oxy. and acetylene bottles that I can get filled anywhere as long as certification is good.
I have AirGas now but I had at least three different Co. prier to AirGas (AirGas bought the little guys out).
My own ''small'' out of date bottles would be ''water pressure tested'' then re stamped/certified then filled and away I go.
The cylinders whether owned or leased seem to be the problem at sales/auctions.

I own mine but when i go to refill they exchange tanks and off i go, in all these years i have never seen them look at dates, i think its part of doing business, they just recertify tanks in stock as needed.
I've had them for 40 years or so, never had to worry about that stuff, tiny little mom and pop joint, honestly never been anywhere else for welding stuff.

Yep, I do own them and I have never tried to get them filled.
I bought new hoses for them and decided I would never use them.

I suppose shipping is out of the ?
Anyone going threw there headed to fl? I could us them
