Pleased to announce that Valvoline motor oil will be the official motor oil for FURYIOUS. The extremely high zinc content is perfect for the flat tappet cam in FURYIOUS without the need for any additive. Special thanks to Scott Wieland of Valvoline & Calvin Christopher Dewees. Scott & Calvin are true race fans and they strongly support sportsman racing & I look forward to a long relationship with Valvoline products.

last time I asked you if the car was ready to run,I think you were still working on the engine. Are you all set now?

, congratulations on Valvoline for your car.

I have used VR-1 in my Roadrunner since I bought it. Being a flat tappet hydraulic cam setup, it has worked great. I replaced ALL 16 lifters, springs, locks, pushrods, and retainers when I had problems with worn out springs and a couple of lifters collapsing.
I broke them in like a new cam, and I had used black moly lube for the assembly, a quart of break in oil additive, and the balance VR-1.
IF I didn't live where it's usually hot, I may try something else, because I have 20-50w commonly available. I see there is a 10-30w, so I may use that during the coldest part of the year, which is about 8 weeks long in :confederateflag:south Louisiana and Mississippi:confederateflag:...lol. :poke::bananadance:
Once I get my 541 aluminum stroker motor, I expect to use solid flat tappet lifters, but I may look at one of the high end synthetic oils that also have the stuff that treat flat tappet lifters with the kind of ingredients they need.

I have been running Valvoline since the 70's and I have never wiped a cam lobe. I use the VR1 racing oil now and I break in all my cams on that oil. Ron

Roxboro, & VMP usually. Sometimes Piedmont, Galot, Kinston. Come on out & meet
Cool deal. I just went to Piedmont for the Mopar drag and car show a few weeks ago. I live only about 40 minutes from Kinston, but haven't been there in years. PM me next time you are headed to Kinston and I will bring my son out and come meet you. Thanks, Paul
