Awhile back I picked up this 67 coronet post car on its way to the scrap yard. It's pretty rusty and 1/2 parted
I also had this 67 belvdere 4dr that has some floorboard/driveline/door damage From a forklift.
My plans are to convert 4dr to 2dr post and build a high 12s budget drag car.
Using stock 440 motor from a 67 imperial, used headers, offenhauser intake, and a set of 4.30 gears. Ive parted the rusty coronet and saved all the 2dr post parts to convert the 4dr belvedere to 2dr. Nothing special, but will be a low cost fun project.

I've not seen that done on one of those. Anxious to see progress photos!

I wonder if the slope of the 4 door rear window frame is exactly the same. Maybe a pattern cut from cardboard can be made and laid against both to see if they line up. Generally, if the rear glass is the same, you have a good change of the roof being similar.
Personally, I like the idea of making the rear side window fixed in place. You could remove the entire regulator and mechanisms and cut out the metal that supports them. The "door panel" could be a stock panel with the metal behind it cut out about 1 1/2" inside of the edge of the door panel. There are lots of ways to shave weight. No back seat, scrape undercoating off, minimal wiring, etc.

The doors, roofs and rear glass are the same. Problem is the quarters on a dodge coronet and Plymouth Belvedere are different so you cannot splice that 2door dodge part into the quarter panel.

I'm pretty sure the roof,Windows, and window framing are the same.
My plans are to use the rear Plymouth door section to fill the spot of the dodge contour.
I have never attempted before to do such project.
I'm a pretty good welder, but I don't have much body work experience. A freind of mine who successfully converted tri 5 Chevys 4to2 doors was going to help me with this project but he tragically passed away earlier this year. So I'm just gonna wing it and see what I can do. Any advice that anybody has that has done such a conversion I would be glad to hear from.

If you measure, I'd be willing to bet you can use the Coronet panel as a patch.

IIRC the high area starts and ends at the same height and contour as the Plymouth.

Plus, it would be quite the double take to see a Coronet "fin" on a Belvedere.

...and the back window is the same.

Check out this thread on FABO. The guy is converting a 4 door wagon to a 2 door:
