And damn I am excited! The days of wrestling transmissions on the floor is over, I am just too old for that. I designed my garage just for this day when I built it a couple yeas ago, even had them put 3'x3'x12" footers where the lift is mounted when they poured the slab.

Direct Lift DL9 delivered and installed today. Took them about 4 hours. I will wire it tomorrow.

Im also in desperate need of a lift. But i would also need a garage to fit in my 3 cars.
Congrats on both. :)

I remember the day I got my first lift. It was like Christmas. Next need will be a transmission jack.

LOL, picking that up tomorrow along with a oil change tank on my way home from Lowe's for the electrical supplies I need.
Forgot about the oil catch can. It's a must have too.

@T2R9 Congrats!!! I got my first 4 post lift this past March. The first accessory I bought was the oil catch can. So handy!

I’ll add a second one, probably next year. My plan is to use them to double my car storage capability, while being able to do repairs and maintenance without lying down in my old age.

I purchased a 9,000# Rotary hoist at an auction 18 years ago. It was the best $2,000.00 I ever spent! Enjoy yours.

Congrats! I wish I had a bigger garage and a second lift, a two post like yours

Congratulations!! What is you floor to top of lift measurement? I have 9ft ceilings will be shopping for a 2 post lift this spring.
Best of luck with it.

Still remember the day when I got my lift. Some of the best money I ever spent. Agree with the others that an oil catch container and a transmission jack should be your next purchases.

.
Its right at 12' The base-plate models will work for a low ceiling.

You won’t be able to lift the car high enough to stand under it with a 9 foot ceiling. But you can do tire changes and suspension work. Have you considered bumping up your roof first? The walls in my barn are 12 feet high and give plenty of room for side by side lifts.

Looking forward to the day when I can get one of those.

Once you have a lift you wonder how you lived without one. My problem is that I always have something on it that most of the time can't be easily moved, so I just bout a Quickjack portable 7000lb lift for oil changes and stuff.

I am considering this lift. It raises the car 58 inches, or just under 5ft. I have considered raising the ceiling a foot, but damn, that's a LOT of work.
