This is a more of a public service announcement than a political statement that goes out to all the Classic and High Performance car owners. As you vote take a good look at who you vote for as far as the New Green Deal. If you have a large investment in your vehicle remember if it goes the way the want our Hot Roads old and new and Classic will take a huge hit or may even come up worthless. Just my opinion but look hard and long. Just my opinion.

I'm front Australia so probably doesn't affect me that much, but just interested what the green deal is??....

Car values always decline around elections. I have found it to be the best time to buy. I am going to say that I'm a little conservative this time around due to the controversy with this election cycle, but if the right car and deal presented itself I would probably be in. I never quit looking.

In a very concise statement it is 0 carbon emissions by a certain date.

How is that even possible?.... i mean, even if the USA wants it this way....is china going to do the same?.......

...are you thinking that they could potentially ban historic vehicles from our roads?.....if this is the case I'd prefer climate change thanks, happy to install A/C to my RR :D .....thankfully there's enough people with their heads screwed on the "right" way to ensure this doesn't happen.

How many 6 digit cars get really driven by now? I dont know if it really affects the values all that much.
Most people seem to just collect, not drive them.

Hot rods or base cars might be another story.

I'm with you and no China will not comply, that's why the USA pulled out of the climate agreement with the other countries. Sort of common sense IMO. Go get your A/C and cruise on.

That said i would vote for trump if i would live in the united states.
Saying this in germany is almost always a garant for shocked reactions from other people.
Well but media in germany is just as (or even more) worse than in the states. Im not watching tv, radio or reading commercial news online anymore.

I’m just thankful I live in a county that you don’t have to have an emissions inspection in or to get insurance or a tag

If I'm lucky, living where I do, I may drive my old ride a 1000 miles before **** weather returns. My carbon footprint I'd guess is rather slight, as it may be for a whole lot of guys with their old rides. There's a hell of a lot of other stuff and other nations creating 'issues'. Hell, when I croak, nobody in my family wants my car I spent over $35k restoring and no friggin idea the number of hours and busted knuckles doing it. Is what it is as they say. Going to car shows, it breaks my heart chatting with guys with their cherry cars who are in their 70's and 80's, some selling their cars, as they see the writing on the wall as they're no longer able to do what they once could. I mean SAD! Guys that were once ABLE and so smart acquiring skills to do what they did! Wisdom or ability comes with age; but da body will no longer abide...saw it with my dad and father-in-law, guys that could do anything and no fear tackling it. Much as I'm able to do, tell ya, I so sorely miss the days when I could call them to get their advice or help on one project or another! Certain I ain't alone.

Sorry - there's a lot of us who are a dying breed and at my age I hope I may have another decade of ability before I either drop over or come to...it's time to let my old ride go. When I bought my car from an old guy on his last legs back in '95, I watched the expression on his face as I backed out of his driveway and it was ******* sad to see...I have no concern about carbon zero by 2050 - I'll be fertilizing soil.

Could always convert your vehicle to this in order to survive in an Extreme Leftist Green Deal Society. That would make our cars priceless :D

NGD is geared towards

1. Low emissions in the manufacturing of new zero emissions vehicles.

2. low emissions public transportation.

3. High speed rail public transportation.

Gas will always be available. Price will be regulated by oil company production.

I don't think this is the case. It is scare mongering. Biden has had (or has) his own classic car. The country is also too big for electric. Gas will stay in areas that work for it.

I'm in the market now and good quality B-bodies are scarce and I don't see low asking prices for the current crop of roaches that have been for sale over the last 6 months. From what I'm seeing, people are keeping their good quality cars.
