I just went through making up an angle plate and drill & tap kit to do this Mod on my 440.
Was wondering if there is any interest in me posting all of the pic's and tooling required?
I am using the Milodon 31580 pan with the 18338 pickup with a Mopar windage tray and ARP main stud kit.

Its not that big of a deal , just drill the hole oversize and retap with an 1/2 pipe tap. I have done a few free hand. there is a guide to show what size drill to use.

Sure, it's always interesting to see the mods that everyone is doing.

Absolutely ... As MoparDan says,, its always nice to see what others are doing.... Do it...... :)

So Here goes!
I used all of the dimensions from the Mopar Engines Manual, P5249704.
I used a 0.701 Diameter Counterbore with a 35/64" pilot for the 1/2" pipe tap,
An 11/16" X 9" long twist drill and cut the shank down to 1/2" so it would fit in the Milwaukee Mag base drill.
I also used a 35/64" drill to put in the original bore to line up the "Rig".
I cut the 1/2" pipe tap diameter first, then put in the 11/16" drill and went all the way down to the intersection
with the cross borethat feeds the oil pump.
After that, I went in through the oil pump feed bore with a round ball burr on a die grinder and made everything nice and smooth
around the corner where the two holes intersect.
The 35/64" hole in the block is at a compound angle to the oil pan rail so i measured the angle for the plate at 35.5 degrees.
after fabbing the plate, I put the plate on the engine and stuck the drill in the chuck and lined it up. I used two allen set screws
upside down to transfer the location of two oil pan rail holes to the plate and tapped it with a hammer. Then drilled the two holes
5/16". Bolted everything up and did the Mod.
I've heard of guys doing it by hand, but I went with the Milodon Road Race pan and with the price of the pan and then having to
pay $90.00 bucks for the pickup, no way was I gambling with that. (Plus this is MY engine)
