Get it powder coated.
That is how I do it, but the dipstick is shiney enough, it is very hard to see. Also when the level is at the "twist" in the stick, that is hard to see too. Even people with good vision have trouble seeing it.. Thanks........................MO
Is this an old dipstick - original - or an aftermarket one....you didn't mention that in the OP.

That's right. It is new Valvolene fluid , but doesn't seem as dark red as it used to be a few years ago. You can put some on a clean paper towel and it is barely pink........................MO
