500 inch, 13 to 1, Indy 440-1 heads, 705 lift roller cam. cross ram intake w/2 edelbrock 750 carbs. First outing this year. Had smaller heads previously and ran 10.18 qtr at 133 mph. Hope to get out next spring for some racing. Should be in upper 9 sec. I'll post a couple pics soon. Will be going in storage soon.

:thankyou:

Car weighs 3250 lbs. A&A trans 727 w/alum drum, lightened sun shell fully rollerized,etc. Dana 60 rear w/4.56 gears. 10.50 W x 29.5 slicks. Fun ride!

Looks like a nice ride. I had a very similar combo years ago in a 63 Dodge. 498, Unported -1, .700roller, 13-1,63 cross ram,750 Carter’s,727 push button, slightly heavier 3425. Usually around 10.30@130. Best ever 10.18@133. Yours looks like it will run 9s to me. Good luck. Maybe some NMCA races next year? 3250 is very light. How did you get there? The big plug is the intake. I dynoed mine 658@5750. Same day with an Indy 440-25 cross ram, same carbs, 710@6750. It was better from 4000 and up. Never ran it with Indy intake. The Indy certainly works well on my current car.

Hey Doug
Yea, I was running my current combo with ported Indy SR's and MW port and it ran best of 10.18.
I agree with the -1's being ported and 2.25 intake valves, it will be in the 9's
We probably ran the same races when Chrysler Classic Events had races at Norwalk or Nat Trails.
As for lightening the car, no heater, glass hood and bumpers.
Mother nature helped some as well.
And I know I'm giving up about 75 HP w/current Crossram v. Indy one.

That’s pretty light. Aluminum block? I’ve chiseled mine down pretty good. 3320 with my 200lb but in it. It does have a 275 lb Mega Block, full cage, and a Dana. But plenty of light weight tricks. I’d love to run the crossram but with my motor I’ll bet it’s over a 100+hp hit.

68 cast block. That 3250 is the car only! Put my *** in the seat and it goes to 3500!

My '65 Coronet was all steel with gutted doors & Lexan side windows, 125# battery in the trunk, iron 440 or 400 block/iron heads, Dana w/spool, SS style leafs, alum WP housing, no alt, Centerline wheels, 727. Lots of missing bolts, cut hood bracing, gutted dash, no wipers or heater stuff. A very heavy roll bar. Good for 10.50/127 in 1984 with my 1st low deck 400/452. 3550# with me & 12 gallons fuel.
