Powermaster Starter Question

Well.... I may do just that. How so ever, I do read on the For A Bodies forums they are prone to flexure problems. I'd prefer not to give it the ring gear for supper!
My preference is toward this:

Though, until the fresh overhaul the 30 year old trusted Accel super starter worked just peachy. The Accel has not the right stuff any more for a hot engine restart. Alas.

Found several threads discussing problems with RobbMc Mopar Gen II Starters too.
 
Recently put a $60 NAPA Mini starter. Fit fine but removed stud extension no problem starting my street Hemi. First mini starter I bought was a junkyard special. Wanted to see how well it worked o a 11.5 compression Hemi, no problem.

Yep, just a good ol' rebuilt starter for a Dakota/Ram fits fine and has plenty of torque - and usually can
be gotten at any chain parts store with a lifetime warranty.
What's not to like?
 
Unless you have a space issue, the Mopar factory starter is the best there ever was. Love that sound too!
