we bought a 67 coronet wagon with a manual rear window.it was down when we bought it and the po said he never locked it and it went down for him although he hadent owned it for too long.weve tried everything.the inside panel is off and we dont see anything binding.i think that its locked somehow.we are going to try to remove the whole key bezel from inside to eliminate the lock being the problem.the key is very loose and i would like to put a new cul in it but cant seem to locate one for the wagon.any ideas?
also to anyone with a wagon is there anything special about unlocking it?the key goes in about as far as the door ones but its very loose and can move up and down a lot even when its all the way in.the key turns about 90 deg ....should it turn 180?
thanks

there will be a linkage arm on the back of that lock cylinder, shine your flashlight up in there.
try having someone work the key while you look up in there and see whats moving.
should be a slide clip holding the lock in from inside door.
save that arm and use any older trunk lock to replace.
sounds like the door might be stuck, use a lotta lube and work carefully and dont pry any dents into the car.

that key locks the window right?not the door.
both i think ?
look over towards the actual door retainer inside the door itself.
you should have 2 pieces of linkage one for the window one for the door release.
there should be a 3rd rod coming from the lock itself going to the door retainer.
im not sure what your car runs,
keep in mind its been an eon since ive seen a 67 wagon.

once the window is down there is a slider handle to release the door so it comes down.that seems to be working ok.its just the window that wont go down.it seems to hit a hard stop right away.
