I think you guys will have fun ripping the "Road Runner" apart.

nothing about it is correct

at least it's not completely out there in price
Not $19k worth

I dunno, there's nothing irreversible there. Seems like a good base to do something with?

Other than the black on the hood and the wing, for $19,000 that looks like a good deal.

Did 68 Road Runners not get 150MPH speedometers? I know my 70 RR had one.
GTX's got the 150 speedo (which in '68 like mine, was so hard to read they wound up changing the design later).
RR's got the 120mph speedo.

Ya if it isn't a rust/bondo bucket it is not bad for the price. I've seen a lot worse for that price.

I probably wouldn’t pay 19 grand either, however, for a person who wants to rip around in a road runner and could ‘potentially’ get it for 15-16 grand-ish that would be a great car.

A presentable running 1st year RR under 20

If the bottom is as clean as the top that's a good buy.
Try buying & dragging a 68 out of the weeds and get it to that point for 19,000.

Notice the standard areas on the cars that are usually replaced are not in any close up photos, trunk floors, rockers etc.
Still within reason though, all the parts look to be there and as 67coronet stated " Try buying & dragging a 68 out of the weeds and get it to that point for 19,000 "
Could be a creampuff or a drum of worms, never know until you peel back the layers...

I would measure value by how solid and good the body/paint work is and what has been done to the eng/trans???? It might have been a car kept under a roof all it life or taken to Co. from Jersey!!!! LOL

I have had people ask IF they could buy one of my cars and drive home, many times 5 states away. I tell them this, I have driven the car around here, maybe 500 mi total lets say, since I have had it, maybe 50mi at a time. Would I drive it 5 states away? I have a trailer and Cummins 1 t.pickup, so could haul it.... and YES I would drive it and know fool well it could lose a fuel pump, an alternator, a water pump et because those items are not new and IF they were new, they still could go South!!!!!!!
So now ask me that question and the answer is YES!!!!!!! No problem short answer.
People don't want to hear the truth, they want to hear what they want to hear.
