Hello hope someone might know: will a will a victor 440 intake on a 440- with carb and low air cleaner fit under a stock 68 charger? Don’t actually own the car yet but am kicking around the idea to go with this motor. Thanks

Here's a photo of a mockup - 69 RR, 440 with Indy single plane and '70 air grabber. I can't see a Charger having any more hood clearance than the RR and likewise the air cleaners are probably similar in height. As you can see, a stock hood is out of the question. Oh, that block where the carb would sit is the same dimension as a carb.

I have victor max intake, the super victor. In my opinion, there is NO WAY it fits under a flat charger hood, with or without an air cleaner. I dont know exactly, but id bet it is 2.5-3 inches taller than stock.. It Might fit under a stock sixpack hood , or aftermarket sixpack scoop on a charger. I think it would still need an aftermarket drop base aircleaner.
Edit: the victor intake and the super victor are the same height, the difference is the carb pad, victor for 4150, sv for a dominator.

I have a 68 "X" and I had to go with an Indy Dual Plane Max Wedge intake because of the clearance Clarence!

Many of the heights are published. For example, the Edelbrock Performer RPM and Demon carb barely clears the hood with a custom dropped base air cleaner under the cast aluminum lid.

The Victor is probably an inch taller.
