Can Anyone Identify These Seats?

Hi All,

Picked up this '69 Super Bee earlier this year, and it came with a bunch of parts - including these bucket seats. Really cool to have the buckets, but I'm fairly certain that they do not belong in a super bee.

Can anyone confirm this, and perhaps even identify what car they do go to?

Thanks!

Mike

Confusing car... Gotta a Bee stripe but a sweep style cluster... Column shift but a four speed hump.... And Mustang seats.... None the less, cool car...

I also hate to tell you that you bought a Coronet, not a Bee.. unless someone swapped the dash to a stand cluster dash assembly which is very doubtful..

He mentioned in the Welcome thread that he bought the car knowing that it had been swapped to a 69 coronet 500 dash, fender tag and rad and trunk lip numbers....not sure how I feel about that but it's his car now and he can do with it as he pleases.

I'd look under the seats, on the frames for a part number or tag of some sort, might even have a GM or Fomoco stamp somewhere?

Actually, that's exactly what happened. The person I bought it from told me, so I wasn't tricked. The original dash was replaced with a new one from a coronet 500. Also, the rad core support stamping was cut out, along with the stamping along the trunk drip rail. I have the replacement pieces of metal that match the dash, but it definitely won't be factory correct....

Yup, pretty confusing! Glad to get everyone's input here though.

The four speed hump is just sitting on the trans tunnel - it came with the car along with a 833 crossmember, driveshaft for an 833, and pedal assembly for a manual. I think the car is a frankenstein of parts at this point (hood is green, some interior panels and the steering column are green, rest of the interior is the factory blue...)

Thanks for the help everyone! I'll take a look for some part numbers to see if they go to a ford...

And yeah I wasn't sure how to feel about all of weirdness with the numbers, but the price was right, and there's no way I could afford a bad *** car like this super bee if it was all original =). At least I have the title, and I can register it!

Looks like ‘76 era Ford Mustang bucket seats but, I could be wrong.

Thank you!! I think you're totally right. I never would've thought to investigate other manufacturers' seats - just assumed it was from an incorrect year mopar.

Ugh, the fun continues with this car!.....

Don't take any of it to serious, it is what is is... We do this for fun... When you take it to serious it's no longer fun... FWIW I like the look of the car...

Oh no, that's 90% of the fun haha. Just want to get it running and driving, and leave the body the way it is for the time being - I'm kinda into the beater look for now....

I have AMC javelin seats in my classic Dodge and most Dodge/Plymouth purists don’t even seem to mind. My seats look close enough to Dodge’s muscle era.

If you dislike the seats... the good news is that there’s probably some Ford restoration guys that would pay top dollar for those. They look immaculate.

Not a better statement anywhere. Now make it what you want, you can't go wrong.

They look a bit like the seats that I took out of a wrecked K car, that I put in my Satty years ago.
