in the early 1970s I would go to Dana Bros to buy parts for my 1948 Dodge as they had part books for it.

at some point they gave me the part book as I was always in there pestering them.

THAT WAS MY FIRST PART BOOK

I now have all the Mopar part books 1929-2012 as I sell Mopar parts

after they closed I went by and found these....got a pile of them

also a couple of key chains

don't have any license plate frames though

I live about 5 miles from where the dealership was

Hey, man, I apologize.....I recently lost my 84 yr old mother, I’ve had sooooo much stuff going on, redoing the house and cleaning the property, it’s where I grew up, now it’s mine, got no siblings, I’ hopefully going to rent it after the first of the year to a fellow who is some sort of engineer at a company not about 20 miles away that makes plastic parts for Kias, Hyundai’s.
Anyway, that is an awesome story! You probably like myself, dig the old dealerships, the days when you could go in and ask to buy all the old stuff if they had any, I also loved the days when the unveiling of the new cars was an event, and many dealership owners were actually enthusiastic car guys and gals. My great uncle was a DeSoto/Plymouth/ and oddly, for a short time GMC Trucks dealer. But that was before I was born....Ive been told the Chrysler/ Dodge dealership bought the Plymouth franchise from him, because DeSoto was supposed to break away from the rest with all these new things....(Chrysler had an issue competing with itself, I’m sure you know), I remember my dad taking me to all the dealers to see the new cars, the ChryslerDodge/Plymouth and Dodge trucks was later located out of the downtown area, next to my grandfathers Independent Service Station, Ideal Oil.
Are you selling these pieces? I would be interested.....
Also, do you have any original MoPar accessory rubber floor mats in turquoise for a ‘63 B Body? Thanks

Several Years ago I bought a NOS Dana Brothers Frame from a Guy who lived by there. I have a car from there. It has Black with White letters. I have it in My Mopar Collectables Show case. I cannot put it on the car. It just looks super cool in the showcase

Very cool....I’m not sure when dealerships began using the black frames, I’m sure they are all pretty hard to find these days for sure, I’m looking for the older style....if you happen up on one keep me in mind! Thanks
