I was reading about this one I didn't know much about. Ford Flex, pretty damn ugly. The Limited model has the 3.5 Eco Boost twin turbo. 365 horsepower and 350 ft-lbs of torque. The newest 0-60 numbers were from 2018 and it was 5.7 seconds. I think 2020 is the last year for this slow seller and they are heavily discounted. They are 4828 pounds. Imagine if you stripped one down by about 1000 pounds.

I know a Dodge Durango Hellcat is going to do 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds but I would kind of be expecting that from the way it looks. Also, the Durango Hellcat is going to be around for one year only which might drive the prices up.

I have my friends genesis here while he's travelling a bit, looks like a cookie cutter car same as all the rest havn't driven it yet but he says 0-60 4.5! that's gotta have a few ponies in it,not a small car!
I'd take it out and flog it,but it will likely break for me!

I have one. 440, mild build, nice cam, more compression and a 175 shot of NOS. No one ever expects it out of a white wall grandpa car.

While the Flex may be ugly, the square shape maximizes use of space. Especially in the cargo area, where a slanted rear gate/window doesn't allow as much cargo or bigger cargo.

Does it have the 365hp turbo v6 or the 420 hp. v8 in it? The V6 is good for a mid 13 quarter mile which puts it in sleeper territory in my books.

When I was in high school, a guy I knew had 70 Chevelle SS 454 4 speed car. He got in a fight with his girlfriend and drank a few too many and totaled the car. He bought a 68 Malibu 307 car from a little old lady. It was teal green with a black top. It had those clear plastic seat covers on it, and dog dish hub caps on it. He pulled the 307 two barrel and power glide trans out,and put the driveline from the wrecked SS 454 Chevelle in the Malibu. He left the column shifter in place, used a short Hurst shifter handle from a Corvette, it was barely above the top of the seat bottom. He used to keep his coat over the shifter when he parked the car, so people who walked by the car,saw the column shifter and not the 4 speed stick shift. He had a pair of steel wheels widened two inches on the inside, so he could get a decent tire under the car without it looking obvious. He ran dual exhaust, but only ran the right tailpipe. The car was a total sleeper. It was very unassuming, there were a ton of them that looked just like it all over town. He used to take people's money all the time with the car.

I may be giving away my age, but the ultimate sleeper I ever had was my 88 Honda CRX Si, with my self-designed, custom turbo setup and programmable ECU (Zdyne). I did not have any of the fast and furious sticker crap or fart-can exhaust, just a red car that was slightly lower and was very fast. My setup was a ton of fun and I surprised many modern sports cars on Hwy61 near Pittsburgh. I had to sell that car or die in it, one of the two was bound to happen. A kid and his dad bought it, stripped it down, and it was running 11s on the track with a few upgrades (slicks, etc.).

Man I miss that car.

I went out and had a look at it G80 5.0 Htrac badges. a friend is here for the weekend with his RS5 last of the v8's,suppose to be 450hp. would make an interesting test, although I think the audi has to be lighter, it's certainly smaller!
the audi doesn't fit sleeper title looks like a race car!
