Longtime lurker, new poster

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! :)

I have all the trim for the car, including the roof rack. I initially took it off because the cross bars started showing signs of rust. Took it off to 'save' it from rusting more.

The only trim I am wanting are the wheel opening trim. The passenger front side was wrecked at some point and they did a crappy job fixing it. The trim was kinda straightened out, and bondoed and painted over. The rest of them have the usual assortment of dings and scrapes.

My biggest worry is the body itself. I can turn a wrench, but I'm no bodyman, and it appears 'Gulf Coast' rust has set in as the car now has rust on the drivers side A pillar and along the base of both back side windows. I think the is some hidden rust up in the cowl too.

The interior is pretty roached, no pics. The dash has a couple of small cracks, all the headliner boards are there (but they droop), but most of the plastic is chalky, the carpet has turned to dust (what remains of it anyways) and the front seat is pretty far gone. Back when I was driving the car, I installed more modern 3 point seatbelts for the driver and passenger. I want to switch over to a set of bucket seats, but I don't want seats that look like they belong in a race car. The bench seat is cool for nostalgia, but I don't like how the seat back stops at about my shoulder blades. Oh, and I installed a smaller steering wheel from a '77 Fury.

Also about 20 yrs ago, I rebuilt the front end, mounted the K solid, and switched to the bigger rotor with just a caliper mount swap, which also required switching to 15" wheels (which is why I'm running dog dishes and not the factory covers). In the back I installed a new set of 1" over springs from ESPO springs, (20 yrs later, they're 1" under......). Thinking about installing airbag helpers like they do on trucks.

I know I'm leaving out a lot, but I'm gonna stop here for now. Any questions, feel free to ask!

John

No worries , welcome aboard ! Most of us have had our cars for a long time, sometimes things come to a pause with them... kids , family, loss, etc but rest assured we have all been there as I have and still picking up parts all the time! Never give up and friends are the best for keeping or getting that momentum going again..

Wagons are cool - great car!
