Have these, if it helps. In my experience, the 270's shoot better anyway.

Sorry Tim, I don't load for it but I can look local. Bullets seem to be easy to get here. Primers, on the other hand, are unicorn farts

I'm good on primers! Friend waiting till the last minute to ask for bullets.... If your looking for anything let me know, I generally stock pile stuff for my arsenal.
Shelves are pretty bare up here of everything.

I'm good on about everything, luckily. Powder, bullets, primers. I just bought a rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and was able to find loaded ammo and brass, bullets and powder for it. Can't wait for the madness to stop.

A friend just bought the Ruger Precision in 6.5 so I'll be loading for it too. I had a 6.5 SAUM built a couple years ago so I have a good assortment of 6.5 bullets.
BTW I love my NF scope! But most of my stable has Leupys

A little heavy to lug around but they get the job done !!

It never occurred to me to ask here: my sister in law came up with some bullets perhaps someone could use. (just the bullets)

Partial box of Hornady 30 cal, 150 grain. .308 spire point.
Partial box of Speer 303 cal, .312 dia, 150 grain Spitzer
Partial box of Remington 303 cal, .311 dia, 180 grain

Free for cost of postage. I can provide photos and actual quantity counts as needed.

Also, she came up with this. The bolt handle is broken off, so it looks a bit strange in the photos: any idea what it is?

Looks like a bolt action shot gun how big is barrel bore?

Not a shot gun. The 303 bullet will fit snugly into the end of the barrel but won't go all the way in.

There's a 'mum' on there. Arisaka? Type 99?

Yes, manufactured at the Izawa Jyuko plant somewhere between 1940 - 1945. The unblemished 'mum is rare, conflicting stories on the unblemished ones but most believe the rifle was taken on the battlefield.

Without actually seeing it in person, it is definitely an Arisaka but it also could be a Type 38 which is a 6.5MM. The Chrysanthemum stamp is the symbol for the Japanese monarchy. I have the Type 39 that I am "sporterizing" as I had to replace the barrel for being shot out with a 6.5mm carbine size in the same caliber. They make an excellent hunting/deer rifle and are a blast to shoot. Ammo is tough to come by and NORMA is about the only ammo manufacturer that have them. You can reload using off the shelf items and Midway USA and Brownell's will carry those items. Large Rifle Primers are a Bear right now to find but I did stock up on them when I found them Federal is the recommended primer. Mine is still a work in progress and I also have an extra Bolt if you would be interested??? PM me and we can discuss that. A neat read on the Type 99 for ya also. I will dig out my book on the serial numbers and stamping's and and try and get you an accurate make and model. They are rare and when found, can be a blast to shoot...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

You beat me to it. Just to add to it, the Izawa Jyuko K.K. plant that his came from was in Osaka, Japan. Funny but so many parts for these were made and assembled all over Japan but final assembly and stamping were completed not only in Osaka but in Tokyo and Hiroshima. Do you have an Arisaka also???cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:
