Lots of dealer emblems back then were screwed or riveted on. Personally, I would have been pissed if I bought a brand new car and the dealership drilled holes in it.

Lots of dealers notorious for that. A friend of mine ordered a new 66 GTO and he told them that if they drilled holes in his trunk they could keep the car.

I agree, my Durango is the first car I've owned that I didn't have totally de-badged before picking up.

That's exactly what I told the dealer when I bought my 1st Road Runner. Only new car I ever bought.

I don't think they do that much anymore, but when I buy a new (to me) car, the first thing that comes off are the dealer license plate frames and any dealer stickers (if there are any) on the trunk.

When I buy a new car first thing no dealer plate frames or stickers. They mostly are cheesy looking, seen a few nice ones but not for me. They put plate frame last one, told the as walked to car said get those off there.

My 2000 Durango had a license plate frame from the Dealer...Crown Dodge but they had a good rep and my buddy gave me a great deal on it so I left it on. He also gave me a trailer hitch cover that had the oval Crown logo so I took the plate frame off....but then some moron rear ended the Durango and broke it. :( At least it didn't hurt anything else.

I had a friend that owned three Chrysler dealerships, I always had a plate frame from him. It was about the friendship. I get that!!

When I bought my 2014 charger (used )
They took it to detail it out why I was doing paperwork since it was dirty.told them before I sign I want to look the car over they stuck a huge dealer decal thing on it 3"x2"
Told them nope that's not going to work if they want me to advertise I want $2000 off the price and it can stay . They took it off really quick!

Some type of sticker on my '70 Charger 500.

The first owner bought it new from a local dealer and then moved to Dallas, Texas.

Stickers below are on driver's door.

Cool thread!! Anyone have any pics of Dan Miller Dodge stickers or pics of dealership in Zion Illinois? One of my chargers came from there.

At least they used small Phillips screws, some I've had were slotted or they used a punch to make the hole.

This has been on since the car was new, I believe it starting to show a little age....
