big wide tires

Wheel width is 8". Back space is 5 1/4.
Tire height is 28" x 11.9 section width x 10.59 tread width.
all fits in a stock 64 b body quite nicely. Not sure about a 65 Coronet..
Hope this helps.

Hm 5 1/4 puts the wheel about 1 inch from springs and mine are offset shackles..seems a little close..4.5 backspace probably better

Body is stock as the springs and all else.
Don';t know if I could fit anything much wider without getting to close to the inner fender well.

All i know is that a 10.5x28-15 slick on a 8.5 x 15 centerline is very tight, about a finger to the fender and a finger to the spring. A 10.00x28-16 slick on a 4.5 b.s. tt2 fits lots better. (62 savoy).

I have been looking at Mickey Thompson S/R radials for the rear 28x12x15. They only offer 8 inch wide in 27 inch for the front. I think that’s a tad skinny for me. Been toying with the 28x12x15 on back with Sportsman S/T 225-70/15 on front. Not sure about 2 different tread patterns. What do you guys think? I’m sure there are some guys doing that.

Here is a 30x10x15 on a 10 wheel but I moved the springs in 1 inch with e body hangers and offset shackles no problem at all

All 275 tires are not the same. I have both the Mickey Thompson ET Street Pro and the S/T in 275/60/15 sizes. The Pro's are bigger and on an 8" steelie. They are all the tire you will ever need! I've been 1.36 60 ft. with them on my street car and they are amazing!

BF Goodrich T/A Radial. Think they’re still available.
285/R70-15. Off the top of my head, about 30” tall, approx !!” Cross section, around 9.5” tread, on an 8” rim.
My old Polara, back in about ‘96.
