Hello everybody, I am excited to be a part of the community. My father and I built a 1973 340 dodge dart sport when I was 12 and finished when I was 15. It was my first car and I remember saving up for parts and a lot of scars on my hands. Mostly I remember what I learned from my dad and doing things the right way. My son is coming up on that age and I want to pass down what I learned..... So I convinced the wife and found this 1966 coronet, pretty solid but still has a lot of work needed. 383 runs well and the car goes pretty good, just doesn't stop :)

Very cool. I got my love for cars from my Dad. Bought my first 70 Charger before I had my license. Still have one to this day. I gave my Son my other Charger for his 16th Birthday to pass the torch. Mine in back ground. Him working on his over the summer.

Welcome aboard Sir, from the middle of the mitten! Is a great thing to pass on.

Welcome from Indiana. I learned a lot from my dad. Enjoy! My oldest brother had a 66 Coronet 500, 383 4 speed, dark blue with a white interior back in the early seventies, great car.

Hello neighbor to the south...welcome from Canada!! Nice project car for you and your son.:welcome:

Welcome! Best feeling in the world to spend time with your son and teach him about our beloved Mopars!

Welcome from Alabama, the more work he does on it himself the better he will appreciate it. Just help and guide him the right direction.

Welcome from Michigan, the Motor City! Looks like a great project! 440'

Welcome from North Carolina. My father owned a truck and heavy equipment repair shop for my entire life until he died in 2000. I worked there from the time I was old enough to hold a wrench. The knowledge that I gained from him is immeasurable. You passing your knowledge on to your son is priceless, not to mention the bond that you create will be forever.

The short time my son was here on earth we worked on his vehicles together and it was a real bonding experience for both of us. Savor every moment. RUFFCUT
