Got my Lokar stuff in the mail today and on the car it went. I must say, I should've bought this instead of that bouchillon junk. Looks much cleaner, individual cable adjustment is great and the throttle is much "lighter"...... yes I know, I still need to remove the old throttle return spring bracket!

I like your installation.. looks great, and nice and clean in the engine compartment.
The last time we used Lokar, was on a 50 Merc, modified the front suspension with a
69 Camaro front subframe with disc brakes. We installed a 351 Windsor w/ a C6 trans
and we used the lokar throttle and trans cables. It looked great when finished, and
was nice and clean in the engine compartment when done.

Thanks. Wow that's definitely a different build! Got any pics?

could you list the part numbers?

Nice job 65. I prefer the Lokar setup also. Some folks bash it but it works great on my stuff.

Thanks, I really don't know whats to complain about. Install is straight forward and it works perfectly. I did add a small spring at the bottom to pull the kickdown lever forward when off throttle. Not sure how necessary it is but its on there now!

Eh I've seen complaints about the 'throw' not being right, or having to re-drill the trans lever yada yada....really it's all in getting the adjustment just right which isn't too tough.

I find most complaints usually stem from
one thing....

Thanks for part numbers

Hold onto that stock throttle assembly...you're gonna need it.
And when that Lokar crap fails, you'll be running back to OEM.
------------------------------------
Every Mopar Guy should learn to fabricate their own throttle and throttle kick down. It's not hard, but does take time to get the geometry correct, but man is it worth it.
Almost any 60s-70s A,B,C or Truck Mopar throttle assembly can be modified to fit another 60s-70s Mopar.
Lokar will leave you stranded by the side of the road or DEAD when your throttle sticks to WOT.

You must have had a really bad experience, I'll keep my cable over the bulky factory mess. This is not my 1st cable setup. I am interested in your thoughts as to why it will cause my throttle to stick wide open though, and not the factory cable. .....

you probably should elaborate if you’re experience was so bad

We have used lokar cables & products at our shop for different hot rod style projects.
No complaints, good parts good service if needed.

mine works great, no problems. 1960's tec versus 2000's tec. look under the hood of a newer mopar. alot of aftermarket stuff is silly for these cars, I have a few items on my shelf, but sometimes it works better IMO.

Bingo, I agree completely

Running Lokar on the '63. PB transmission using stock kickdown lever. Little concerned about the geometry of cable v stock lever. Anyone with experience or
recommendations on correct adjustment??
Thanks, RR

I posted how I do the adjustment on another thread. As long as you're using the short kickdown lever that way works with no modification needed to the lever.

Does the Lokar throttle cable fit a stock gas pedal assembly? Any modifications needed?

Sure does. Just take the end piece off the lokar cable and you find a ball end just like the factory cable. I lightly filed hole in the pedal for the lokar ball end to sit flush, and I do mean lightly!
